frequently asked questions

  • Where do sessions take place?
Journey sessions may take place in my Brooklyn studio, in your own home, or in an offsite space like an AirBnB. I often travel to work with people where they are. I'm happy to help you think through location logistics during our initial consultation.

    What does a Journey include?
Each Journey is built around three phases: preparation, the session itself, and integration. We begin with preparation sessions to clarify your intentions, review your health history, and ensure you're genuinely ready. The Journey day is fully supported and I am present with you throughout. Integration sessions follow, giving you space to process, make meaning, and carry insights into your daily life.

How long does the whole process take?
From initial consultation through integration, most clients work with me over five to seven weeks. The Journey itself is a full day. Integration may be ongoing and paced to your needs.

    Is psilocybin safe?
Psilocybin has a well-documented safety profile and is physiologically non-toxic at therapeutic doses. It is not physically addictive. That said, it is a powerful experience and is not appropriate for everyone. Contraindications include personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia, certain medications, and some cardiovascular conditions. This is why thorough preparation and health screening are non-negotiable parts of the process.

What if I have a difficult experience? Difficult experiences, what are sometimes called "challenging journeys", are not uncommon and are often where the most meaningful work happens. My role is to hold a steady, informed presence throughout. I am trained to support you through whatever arises. You will not be left alone, and you will not be rushed.

How much does a Journey cost?
I offer an income-based sliding scale, and pricing is shared as part of your initial consultation. I keep my practice small and intentional, which means I work with a limited number of clients. Investment reflects the full arc of preparation, facilitation, and integration, not just the session day.

  • What is microdosing?
Microdosing involves taking sub-perceptual doses of psilocybin—small enough that you don't experience a full psychedelic effect, but enough that many people report shifts in mood, focus, creativity, and emotional openness. It is an emerging area of research with a growing evidence base.

    What does microdosing guidance include?
We begin with a thorough intake covering your health history, medications, psychological background, and intentions. From there I offer education on current research, protocols, contraindications, and cycle-informed considerations for those with a menstrual cycle. Sessions are paced to your needs and questions.

Can microdosing interact with my medications?
In short, yes but this is nuanced and is one of the most important things to understand before beginning any microdosing practice. SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium, and several other medications have meaningful interactions with psilocybin. This is a core part of what we cover in our work together, and it's one reason professional guidance matters.

Who is microdosing guidance for? People already microdosing who want to do it more safely and intentionally. People considering it who want accurate information before they decide. People navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, peri/menopause or other hormonal/menstrual cycle related issues, other chronic conditions or who are simply curious whether this might support their mind/body connection.

  • What makes Cycle Alchemy different?
I bring seven years of experience in this space, psilocybin facilitator certification, and a specific focus on women's hormonal health that few other practitioners offer at this depth. The intersection of cyclical consciousness, perimenopause, and psilocybin is not a niche I found, it's one I've been living and studying. I have spoken on issues pertaining to women and psychedelics at Psychedelic Science 2025 and the Shulgin Foundation, and I work with a small number of clients by design. I am also a vetted facilitator within the Psychedelic Passage network—one of the most rigorous independent vetting processes in the field, held to a higher standard than certification alone requires.

    Do you work with men?
Yes. While my particular expertise and focus is women's hormonal health, Journey facilitation is open to anyone ready for this work.

How do I know if I'm ready?
Readiness isn't about having it all figured out. It's about genuine willingness to meet yourself honestly. If you're feeling the call, the best first step is a conversation. We'll find out together whether this is the right time and the right fit.

    How do I get started?
Reach out through the connect page. We'll schedule an initial consultation (no commitment, no pressure) to talk about what you're looking for and whether working together makes sense.

    Is this confidential?
Everything shared between us is held with complete discretion. I do not share client information with anyone. This work asks for honesty and vulnerability, and that is only possible in a container of genuine trust. If you would like me to be in contact with your therapist or another member of your care team, that is welcome and encouraged with your written consent. If you have specific privacy concerns, I welcome that conversation before we begin.
